"Retrospectacular" Photo Party

FUNDRAISER for Mixdeity Arts 501(c)3

This is how my photo party concept works:
It's a costume party.
We pick a theme, say 1950's or something.
We invite models to bolster their portfolio.
We invite photographers to bolster their portfolio.
We invite set designers to contribute, in exchange for pictures.
We invite fashion and wardrobe people in exchange for pictures.
We invite classic car owners to park their theme-appropriate cars outside.
We invite a band/dj who play music from the era, and trade video footage.
We invite a liquor company to sponsor the event.

During the event, models and photographers rotate through half a dozen official photo areas, then meander off into whatever they want to do as the night wears on. Costumed guests pay to get in, watch and party, and maybe find themselves in a few pictures.

Afterward there is a contest for best photos. Photographers and guests alike submit their favorite images online, tag us and share. The most shared pictures win a category at the followup gallery event, which happens just before the next photo party.

YOU'RE INVITED:
models (anyone in costume)
photographers (anyone with a camera)
...and set designers, fashion and wardrobe artists, classic car owners, vintage musicians, vintage vendors, dancers... etc...

Models and photographers rotate through half a dozen semi-official photo areas, then meander off into whatever they want to do as the night wears on.  Costumed guests watch and party, and maybe find themselves in a few pictures. Afterward there is a contest for best photos. Photographers and guests alike submit their favorite images online. The most shared pictures win a category at the followup gallery event, which happens just before the next photo party.... and then we do it all over again with another Jazz-age theme....
