BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Self Defense

Sundays 11am – 1pm

While learning traditional Jiu Jitsu taught by a Japanese immigrant, Hélio Gracie was forced to adapt some of the techniques in order for them to work against his larger siblings. This became known as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. BJJ is a form of grappling and was designed so that anyone can use technique and leverage to subdue a larger opponent. In BJJ we will focus on taking an opponent to the ground and subduing them.

Jarom has over 35 years of martial arts experience. Having practiced and competed in various martial arts, he eventually found a passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
